Mais les prouesses stratégiques de leur ennemi a enragé et assagi les Covenants. Face à leur récente défaite, ils sont à présent déterminés à éradiquer l’humanité toute entière, rasant des planètes entières dans les colonies extérieures avant que toute retraite ne puisse être sonnée.

Pour avoir une chance de retourner la situation, le Major et la Blue Team sont largués sur un monde désolé et mortel pour capturer une frégate covenante endommagée, et remplie de technologies inestimables. La situation ressemble à un piège, mais l’appât est trop tentant pour être ignoré, et il est offert par un commandant de flotte déshonoré, dont la seule opportunité de vengeance se trouve dans la destruction du dernier espoir de survie de l’humanité.
