Description du pass combat.

La seconde saison de Halo Infinite, intitulée Loups solitaires (Lone Wolves),[2] débute le 3 mai 2022[3] et s'achève le 8 novembre 2022.[4] Initialement prévue pour durer trois mois, elle fut prolongée de trois mois supplémentaires.[3]

La saison 2 a pour thème principal les chasseurs spartans Lone Wolves et poursuit l'histoire du multijoueur introduite dans la saison 1 avec le mode Académie, au travers de cinématiques, des objets du pass combat et d'événements[2] narratifs multijoueurs, dont Intrusion et Meute Alpha.[3] À l'instar de la saison 1, un événement Fracture, nommé Retranchement, sera récurrent pendant la durée de la saison.[3] Un autre événement, The Yappening, était également disponible.[5]

Le pass combat est constitué de 100 niveaux[3] pour un total de 180 éléments[6] dont 80 gratuits, la version premium permettant de débloquer jusqu'à 1 000 crédits.[7] Deux nouveaux noyaux d'armure[2] (Rakshasa et Eaglestrike)[8] sont déblocables gratuitement, un dans le pass principal et un dans celui de l'événement Fracture.[2]

Les premiers mois de la saison 2 apportent deux nouvelles cartes, Catalyst (Arène) et Breaker (Grand combat en équipe), trois nouveaux modes, Dernier Spartan survivant, Possession du terrain et une version mise à jour du Roi de la colline, ainsi que plusieurs sélections en Chacun pour soi.[2][6]

Des mises à jour mensuelles appelées Modules de largage[3] comportant des changements pour les sélections et l'équilibrage sont prévues. La Coopération pour la Campagne à quatre en ligne,[2] à l'origine prévue pour fin août 2022,[3] fut repoussée pour une sortie avec la Mise à jour hivernale.[4][9] Une bêta ouverte pour le mode Forge, d'abord estimée pour septembre,[3] fut également repoussée au 8 novembre.[4][9] La possibilité de commencer une partie de campagne à partir d'une mission principale spécifique au lieu de depuis le début était attendue pour fin août[3] mais fut aussi reportée au 8 novembre.[4][9]

Scénario[modifier]

Les Largages d'infos (Intels) de la saison 2 ont été diffusés sur Halo Waypoint, puis dans le menu Actus en jeu à partir du deuxième. Seul le troisième ne fut pas traduit officiellement. Quelques jours avant la fin de la saison 2, ils furent tous publiés dans un article dédié sur Halo Waypoint, avec l'ajout d'une note avant chaque Largage d'infos identifiant les protagonistes et donnant le contexte.[10]

It wasn't easy with the limited resources we have on site, but we managed to isolate a viable instance of the Iratus construct thanks to the recent exploits of your new cohort. This instance is undergoing quarantine and will be prepared for replication and distribution to qualified S-IV operatives to test within the simulation environment. Hopefully by observing these personality shards on the battlefield we'll be able to learn more about what it's ultimately capable of. All preliminary readings show that the contained instances should be inert and safe for integration, but we'll be monitoring each user closely nonetheless.

Les Parias ont mis en place des opérations de démantèlement de navires dans des positions fortifiées autour du bassin de Chiltift. Ils retournant[sic] nos propres navires morts contre nous, ces ordures. Il y a aussi autre chose ici, mais il est difficile de savoir ce que c'est exactement pour le moment. Quoi que ce soit, nous ne pensons pas qu'ils se soient installés là juste pour la ferraille et les pièces de rechange.

Nous avons presque terminé le repérage initial du périmètre. Nous avons prévu d'aller plus loin lorsque la prochaine tempête de poussière passera dans quelques heures, à condition qu'il ne s'attire pas tout seul des ennuis d'ici là, bien sûr.

Dinh and I knew there had been a recent spike in activity on Camber but didn't realize how far it went until we arrived. The Banished have set up shipbreaking operations in fortified positions around the Chiltift Basin—turning our own dead ships against us. There's something more here as well, but it's hard to get a read on exactly what just yet. Whatever it is, we don't think they're just camping out for scrap metal and spare parts. We're almost finished with initial recon sweeps of the perimeter and plan to press further when the next dust storm rolls through in a few hours, assuming Dinh doesn't find trouble on his own first, of course.
