Les membres s'adressent à Catalog en commençant leur message par « Query: » (''Requête'') suivi de leur question. Catalog répond à certaines questions (en évitant de répondre à d'autres) de manière robotique comme le ferait un [[Catalogue]] [[forerunner]], parfois avec humour. Les membres ont répondu à ce mode de communication en utilisant des termes techniques dans leurs questions. Néanmoins, au bout de quelques semaines, le nombre de question devint tellement grand que Catalog dut en ignorer une partie et raccourcir ses réponses. Finalement, les réponses s'arrêtèrent en raison de la mise en place d'éléments qui ne doivent pas être remis en question plus tard, ainsi que de la futilité de certaines questions s'arrêtant sur des détails qui au premier abord semblent inutiles mais qui peuvent se révéler un problème dans le futur. Ainsi la responsabilité de Kenneth, bien qu'aidé par son équipe en charge de l'écriture, devint trop grande et il décida de mettre un terme à ces questions/réponses.<ref name=Live/>
